There is a continuous process of spreading violence through the social media fake message in the country. Now J & K state has come under its grip. In order to stop the spread of violence from the social media in the state, the administration has begun a thrust. 

According to the news published in the English website, DM of Kishtwar district has started cracking down on the Whatsapp group admin for this. They have ordered that all Whatsapp group administrators in the state of Jammu and Kashmir should get their registration in their office within 10 days. Also, if a group administrator does not register, then the case will be registered against it under the IT Act, Cyber Law and Prevention of Illegal Activities.

It is notable that the DM Kishtwar Singh Rana has issued this order on the basis of the report given by SSP Abrar Chaudhary in the past. In this report, it was mentioned that social media is being used to spread rumours. 

It has been said in this order that while giving the Whatsapp group admin, all members of the group should provide information. At the same time, whenever the DM's office has problems with any information sent to the group, then the Group Administrator will have to come himself. Also, if there is any such information in the group that tension is created in the area, then the administrator will have to report this immediately to the nearest police station.

It is noteworthy that rumours were spread through social media about the slogan of anti-country slogans during the procession of Eid on June 16 in Kishtwar. Even before this, such rumours have been spread which have led to riots and many innocent people have been killed.
