USA: To make it easier to find and manage groups on the app, WhatsApp has rolled out new features. The ability to choose who can join groups through invitations is given to group admins.
In addition, you can now see which groups are contacts and you share. Both films are being made available in phases across the world.
The most recent updates from WhatsApp are in regards to the Communities feature, which is essentially a group chat, designed to accommodate large groups of people like schools and organizations, and bring related sub-groups under one roof.

Up to 5,000 users, 32-person video calls and group-wide admin announcements are currently supported by WhatsApp Communities. In November of last year, it was published.
The ability to join or leave group chats can now be controlled by WhatsApp administrators through links or requests from other communities.
Thanks to this new feature, the admin now has more control over the group privacy. Since anyone with access to the URL can join the group, the meta-owned app advises admins to only share group invite links with people they can trust.

Now it's easy to find out which groups you and other contacts have in common. The amount of groups shared between two contacts will now appear when you search for them in the app. This can be useful, especially if you forget the name of a group you belong to.
Additionally, WhatsApp is working on a feature that will let you pin messages inside groups and chats, so that you can keep track of important messages.
When a message is pinned, an icon will appear on the chat bubble indicating that the message is pinned. The pinned message will always appear at the top of the conversation for easy access.

WhatsApp is developing a feature that narrows down the choice to a single option. Once polling is enabled users will be able to select only one response. But it's currently being tested on the iOS beta channel, as part of the iOS 23.6.0.72 update.
