As early as next week the Facebook Inc. is all set to offer WhatsApp payment service to the whole of India. This will be a great attempt by the company to gain the market share. According to the sources, it is stated that not all partners of the social platform are ready for the deal.

To process the money transfer, the popular messaging application will collaborate with HDFC Bank Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd., and Axis Bank Ltd. The State Bank of India will join the gang once it has the necessary systems in place, reports Hindustan Times. Earlier Facebook was targeted for a full rollout will all the four partner but unfortunately decided to go ahead with three. And as the rivals of the company are racing ahead then chose not to tell the names as the information isn’t public.

The new feature of Whatsapp is said to be linked with WeChat. Earlier, WeChat has reshaped China when it expanded beyond messaging. In February, the pilot version of WhatsApp Pay has been started with million users. This, in turn, has received rave reviews, threatening the market share of incumbents Google Tez and Alibaba-backed Paytm, which lack the advantages of a social network.

More than 200 million Indians now use WhatsApp messaging daily. The states are comparable to 60 percent of the US population and a daily active usage that Forrester Inc. expects to be about 20 times greater than Paytm’s.
