New Delhi:-  WhatsApp has reportedly increased the limits for group video calls in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for desktop. Meta's popular chat platform previously allowed video calls with up to eight users, but the company expects that number to quadruple in a future update for all users of the desktop app.

WhatsApp recently ended support for its older Electron-based desktop software. This means Windows users will have to install the app from the Microsoft Store. Discovered by feature tracker WABetaInfo for WhatsApp Beta for Windows 2.2324.1.0, the platform has started testing the ability to start video calls with up to 32 people.

WhatsApp desktop users can now make Her 32 and Her 8 voice and video calls through the Windows application. However, once the beta testing of the feature is complete, we plan to increase the limit for all users in a future update.

The feature tracker adds that some WhatsApp users with the latest beta version of the desktop app installed will be asked to initiate voice or video calls with contacts or groups of up to 32 people. However, not all users of the latest beta will see this message, suggesting it was activated by a server-side update.

Users who want to test the ability to start group calls with up to 32 people can download the latest WhatsApp beta update for Windows from the Microsoft Store. Unlike the beta version of WhatsApp for Android and iOS, users do not need to sign up for beta updates and can have both stable and beta versions of the app installed on the same device at the same time.

WAbetaInfo recently announced that WhatsApp has ended support for his Electron-based WhatsApp desktop app for Windows. This means that all his WhatsApp users who were running older versions will have to install the native app from the Microsoft Store.

It's worth noting that the upcoming version of the native app will allow users to initiate video calls with up to 32 people via the App Store.

Whatsapp desktop’s new update will improve the video calling experience and quality of the app as it will now allow the users to be on call at a strength of 32 at a time. This will help the people/users to chat and talk to many people at a time and will save time as they can complete the meeting or any important work quickly and with good strength.
