USA: The first significant update for WhatsApp in 2023 brings a number of new features and enhancements for status updates. It features link previews on statuses as well as voice statuses, private audience selection, status reactions, status profile rings for new updates, and status reactions. The newest versions of WhatsApp for iOS, Android, and desktop are now rolling out the new features to users worldwide.

WhatsApp has added a tonne of new features in the same vein as Telegram. WhatsApp's new rollout, in contrast to Telegram's wider focus on various in-app aspects, aims to enhance users' status update experiences. New features are being added gradually but steadily to the Meta-owned platform. It must do this to maintain an advantage over its rivals in a cutthroat market. Not every status you update will be suitable for all of your contacts.

As a result, WhatsApp now gives users the option to modify the privacy settings for each status. Users can quickly select who sees their status while they share it using the newly added private audience selector feature. Changes made after choosing the audience are automatically saved and applied to the next status.

In groups and private conversations, WhatsApp already supports recording and sharing voice messages. Users can now share 30-second voice notes as well as status updates. WhatsApp now allows users to respond to status updates in addition to group and private text and multimedia messages. Emojis available include Face with Open Mouth, Clapping Hands, Face with Joy Tears, and Smiling Face with Heart-Eyes.

You won't miss a new update with WhatsApp's status profile ringing feature. A ring will appear around a contact's profile picture when they update their status, allowing you to see it right there in the chat list or group. A visual preview of the linked content will appear when you share a link as a status, giving your contacts a better understanding.

WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will let users share up to 100 media files at once within conversations. At this time, the platform only permits the sharing of 30 files at once. The beta version of WhatsApp for Android supports the new feature. It is anticipated that it will soon be rolled out on the stable app.
