WhatsApp requests users to keep check on FAKE NEWS through advertisement

New Delhi:  In order to bring to an end the spreading of false information, which creates anguish, terror and confusion among people, well liked messaging application WhatsApp released an advertisement on Monday, urging its users to deject fake news by cross checking the facts and not re-sharing misleading inputs.

We know that any message sent on WhatsApp is shared several times and within minutes it goes viral. This time considering the sensitivity of the application and the nature of messages being broaden; WhatsApp urged its users to Spot news that might be forged, Verify the news with other sources and Help end of the spread of fake news.

WhatsApp has also urged its users to make sure for signs which helps one decide if the news is forged Asserting  that messages with no sources, which make one irritated could be most likely fake.

Also, the people have been asked for to cross check the piece of information on reliance news sites to observe its authenticity; and if you find something forged, one must ask people to discontinue sharing it and verify the fact before sharing it.
