For this, financial assistance is being provided from the Center to the State Governments. According to agricultural scientists, this time the harvesting of wheat will begin only after April 15.

According to the advance estimate issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, there is a possibility of producing more than 107 million tonnes of wheat in the current Rabi season. This time sowing of wheat has been delayed in all states due to rain and many other reasons this time during the Rabi season. Due to this, harvesting of wheat is also delayed.

Dr GP Singh, director of the Indian Institute of Wheat and Barley Research, says that this Rabi season is going to produce record wheat. The weather has supported. Where the temperature used to rise during March, its night time temperature is going down. Due to this, the grains of wheat will take time to cook and the grains will be thick. Dr Singh estimates that wheat harvesting in Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh will be possible only after April 15 to 20. Corona's lockdown is not going to have any adverse effect on wheat farming or farmers. Wheat harvesting in eastern Uttar Pradesh generally takes place in the last week of April.
