One of the most loved couples in Bollywood Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar remains in news for different reasons. They set some major couple goals in Bollywood. They are celebrating their marriage anniversary. On their anniversary let us recall the incident when they shocked everyone by their gesture and a case for obscene was filed against the Twinkle.

The duo first met during a photo shoot for Filmfare magazine. They later started dating each other and got married in 2021. They have been married for over years now.  In 2009, Akshay and Twinkle were called out for their “obscene” behavior at a public event. As per the information, Akshay was walking a ramp with others and Twinkle was sitting and enjoying the show amongst the other guests in the audience. Akshay suddenly stopped in front of his wife who was sitting in the front row. 

Twinkle and others were left surprised by his gesture, Akshay then asked his wife to unbutton his Jeans. Twinkle was initially a little hesitant but she unbuttoned the jeans. After this incident a social activist filed a complaint against the couple. The actors, who were reportedly arrested by the police, were later released on bail. They later apologized for their behavior.

Twinke once in an interview speaking about the incident said,  “We were in Delhi where Akshay was being bestowed with the honour of the Padma Shri by the Government of India. And guess what! I got a call from my mother (Dimple Kapadia), that the police were looking for both of us. It so happened that as a result of the supposedly indecent act, where a woman was playing with the buttons of her husband’s jeans in public and at a fashion show.”

Akshay and Twinkle has two children a son named Aarav whom they welcomed in 2002 and a daughter named Nitara, who was born in 2012. On the career front, Twinkle made her acting debut with Barsaat in 1995, quit films after a few years – her last film was Love Ke Liya Kuch Bhi Karega in 2001. Meanwhile Akshay on the other hand is still giving major hits.
