New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has demanded that Satyendra Jain, a minister in the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi, be admitted to AIIMS in place of the LNJP as his medical reports are suspected to have been tampered with. ED officials said that when they reached Satyendra Jain's room admitted to the hospital, he was sleeping there and was not being monitored by any medical device. His wife was there with him too. The ED has said Jain can also be admitted to RML or Safdarganj hospital.
Seeking the same, the ED has also filed a petition in the Delhi High Court. The LNJP hospital comes under the Delhi government and Delhi has an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. Satyendra Jain is a minister in this government. The investigating agency said that Satyendra Jain is completely healthy and admitted to the hospital on the pretext of illness, which the hospital administration is assisting him. His health can be checked independently, so a test has been sought at a central hospital.
On June 27, ED officials had gone to Jain's room in the hospital to check it, where they found that the monitor of the multipara patient was switched off and Satyendra Jain was sleeping soundly. They didn't see any problems. As soon as the ED officials reached there, Satyendra Jain immediately put on an oxygen mask and put on a BP checking belt and turned on the monitor and lay down. The lower court has already rejected the ED's demand.
The same order of July 6 has now been challenged by the investigating agency in the Delhi High Court. The ED has said that Satyendra Jain's picture is being shown prominently on the website of LNGP hospital as he is the health minister of the capital. There is also a picture of the opening of a plaque by him here. A response has been sought from LNJP Hospital in this regard and will be heard on July 29. Let me tell you that, when Satyendra Jain was screwed by the ED, Kejriwal defended him and called him hardcore honest. Not only this, Kejriwal had even demanded that Satyendra Jain be awarded the Padma Vibhushan. But, Jain's case itself is so serious that even the courts are not granting him bail.
