Many festivals are celebrated on the sacred soil of this India, is it difficult to imagine it on the soil of any other country. Every day out of 365 days of the year, some day is celebrated here as a special day. No month, no week passes without any big festival here. In the month of Bhado, India celebrates a big festival named Shri Krishnajanmashtami. Let's know about it in detail.

Every year a big festival of Shri Krishnajanashtami is celebrated with great pomp and show in India. Our country celebrates the birthday of Lord Krishna on a large scale. Sri Krishnajanmashtami is also known as Janmashtami and Gokulashtami. Every year this festival is celebrated on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksha of the month of Bhadrapada.

Shri Krishna is the 8th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Shri Krishna took birth on the eighth day of Ashtami of the Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapad month in Dwaparyuga on the Ashtami Tithi in midnight Rohini Nakshatra from the womb of Goddess Devaki. His father's name was Vasudev. His parents were Yashoda and Nand Ji. Indian culture remains completely immersed in devotion to its God on this day. There is an atmosphere of joy. Somewhere the hymns of Shri Krishna are echoed, somewhere the 'Matki Phod' is organized, somewhere the Makhan is distributed, somewhere the chant of Shri Krishna's name goes on, then somewhere on this day, Shri Krishna is swung at night time. According to their devotion, devotees welcome their God and please them.
