Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif is celebrating his 41st birthday today. Mohammad Kaif has made many memorable performances for India and is also credited with raising the level of fielding in the country. Mohammed Kaif's career is full of controversy, but it is not easy to forget what it was. This was when Kaif was active as a player in IPL.

Australia's legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne shared his memories of Rajasthan Royals amidst the first season of IPL in his autobiography 'NO SPIN'. He also spoke about an incident involving Mohammad Kaif, which had revealed the difference between India and Australian sports civilization. It may be recalled that Rajasthan Royals had also won the title of the inaugural edition of the IPL. Warne wrote, 'Mohammad Kaif did something that needed to be resolved immediately. When we reached the hotel with the RR team, all the players had taken the keys to their rooms. I was talking to the team owners on the replacement. It was then that Mohammed Kaif saw him speaking from the repsions - I am Kaif. The receptionist said, 'Yes, how can I help you'. '

Kaif replied again, 'I am Kaif'. Warne then approached Kaif and said, 'I think he knows who you are, what do you want? Kaif replied, 'Like every player, I have been given a small room. I said, 'Do you want a big room or something. He replied the same thing again. I am Kaif. I am a senior player, an international player, so I want a big room. ' Warne further wrote, 'I told him that everyone had got the same kind of room. I've only got a big room because I had to meet many people.  After which Kaif left. He had further said, "It didn't take long for me to understand that senior Indian players expect to get more preference. So, in order to get everyone's respect, I have to make a uniform rule for everyone. '
