Srinagar: A case of thrashing of a girl student for wearing tilak to a government school in Rajouri district of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has come to light. Here the family of a Hindu girl has alleged that their daughter was beaten up by school teacher Nisar Ahmed because she was wearing a tilak. He told that the festival of Navratri is going on right now, so his daughter had applied tilak after worshiping at home.

 

Journalist Tejinder Singhi Sodhi has shared a video of it on social media. In this video, the family can be heard narrating their pain. In the video, the girl's father is saying that, 'The kind of talk going on here in the middle school, in such a situation, not only Jammu and Kashmir but all the people living in India, they are one in the name of such religion, communism. Will break another's head. Along with this, he also demanded action in the matter.

According to the information, teacher Nisar Ahmed was posted in Government Middle School Khadurian of Draman Panchayat of Kotranka subdivision. After the allegations surfaced, Rajouri district administration took action in the matter and suspended the teacher. District Administration Rajouri has asked Additional DC Kotranka to investigate the matter and allegations. The district administration has clearly mentioned that corporal punishment and beating of children is strictly prohibited in any school.
