Kaushambi: In a shocking incident, a man set fire to his house in Kaju village under Charwa police station area in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district. Due to this, the whole house was burnt to ashes. Seeing the flames, the people of the village controlled the fire after a lot of effort. The father lodged a complaint against the culprit son in the police station. After receiving the complaint, the police have started investigating the case.

Matadin, a resident of Kaju village, works as a labourer. He said that on Wednesday afternoon, his son Mukul Dev reached home drunk and started abusing his wife. When she resisted, he beat her up. Angered by the beating, the woman went to her parent's house with the children. Angry over his wife's departure, Mukul set the house on fire. Seeing the flames, the people of the village gathered on the spot and controlled the fire after a lot of effort. Matadin's house worth about one lakh rupees was burnt to ashes in the fire.

The video of this incident of setting fire to social media is becoming fiercely viral. The people of the nearby village informed the police of the Charwa police station about the incident. After getting the information, the police reached the spot. Police are investigating the case. Mukul Dev's father Matadin has lodged a complaint against his son for setting the house on fire and demanded action. Additional Superintendent of Police Samar Bahadur Singh said that Matadin has lodged a complaint against his son. The matter is being investigated by the police.
