New Delhi: The party is in turmoil over the Punjab Congress President's resignation of Navjot Singh Sidhu. Senior leaders, enraged by the current situation in the party, have again raised questions about it. Veteran Congress leader and lawyer by profession Kapil Sibal has demanded a meeting of the Congress Executive (CWC) at the earliest.

Sibal said there is a question of people leaving the Congress. Jyotiraditya Scindia, Jitin Prasada quit the Congress. If people don't stop going from the party, the party will suffer a big loss. I can't see the party losing. I am with the party, not with any particular person. Sibal said the CWC should discuss what is causing this. You have to think about how Congress should move forward. There is a need for dialogue within the party. Matters should be resolved through mutual dialogue.

At the same time, Sibal said that there is no president in the party and when there is no president, who is making decisions. I never made a statement against the party. He raised the issue of strong opposition and said Congress has to be strong. If Congress is strong, the Opposition will also be weak. How do we raise our voice in Parliament?
