Lucknow: Just three more days will have to wait for monsoon rains in eastern Uttar Pradesh and state capital Lucknow. The monsoon winds around Churk in Sonbhadra have stopped for the time being. On the fourth day from today, they will start moving forward. Senior scientists of the Meteorological Department are keeping an eye on the monsoon activity.

Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist at the Meteorological Centre at Amausi, informed that the monsoon will advance on the fourth day from Thursday i.e. june 26. This will lead to rainfall in 50 per cent of eastern Uttar Pradesh. The next day it will rain up to 75 percent. The current rainfall in some parts of UP cannot be called monsoon. In fact, this rain is happening due to the area of pressure created locally. According to the meteorologist, when the sky is clear during the day, the sun's radial heat i.e. the intense sunshine evaporates rapidly. In the meantime, if the humidity increases even a little bit, then a gust of rain comes.

At the moment, the wind is blowing from west to east. If the monsoon is active, the wind will move from east to west. Atul Kumar Singh said that monsoon is not getting enough moisture from the Bay of Bengal. So it's stopped near Churk. As soon as the moisture wind comes from the bay, it will start moving forward.
