Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has appeared very strict during its tenure on illegal occupation. The Yogi government has made a lot of headlines for running bulldozers on the illegal constructions of the mafia of the state. The government also seems to be getting the support of the people on this step. By the way, before becoming the CM, even in the Samajwadi Party (SP) government, Yogi has worked to stop illegal occupation in Gorakhpur.

CM Yogi while narrating an anecdote related to the illegal occupation in a TV channel program said, 'In 2006, during the SP government of UP, a reputed businessman of Gorakhpur had a big mansion in Aryanagar in an area of three to four acres. One day, at 12 noon, I got a call on the phone that some goons are encroaching on his house. I asked the businessman whether you had informed the administration in this regard, he said that no one is listening. CM Yogi said, 'After this, I called the Inspector, Deputy SP, SP and SSP. Within 15 minutes I spoke with all these officers. I called the inspector again and asked whether you reached the spot or not. CM Yogi further said, 'I decided to go to the spot after seeing the loose attitude of the inspector. Seeing me going out alone, the local people followed me. Going to the spot, he saw that the family members of the businessman were crying there. His belongings were being thrown out. When I asked what was going on in all this, I came to know that this mansion has been taken over by a minister.

CM Yogi said that 'The public present there was standing in front of the miscreants. I told them what are you guys seeing. These goons should be beaten up. On hearing this, the public broke down on those mafias and the goons ran away from there. CM Yogi said that even today if any mafia tries to capture the property or public property of a weak person, then I will get bulldozers fired again.
