Lucknow: Campaigning is going on in full swing under the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. In the UP elections, Dimple Yadav, wife of Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav, has also entered the election campaign. SP supporters were surprised by Dimple Yadav not campaigning in the first three phases. Now, while addressing a public meeting in Sirathu, Dimple Yadav gave such a statement regarding the clothes of Yogi Adityanath, on which a controversy has started.

Dimple Yadav said in the public meeting that, 'This is the present government, it is a government of double engine, tell what color of war is it? When iron rusts, what is its color? I think the color of the clothes our current CM wears is of the same color (rust in iron).' While reacting sharply to Dimple Yadav's statement, the BJP wrote in a tweet that, 'The saffron which is being insulted by the SP leader is a symbol of Sanatan Dharma and tenacity, sacrifice, sacrifice. Why do the 'Family' living in the palaces hate a saffron-clad person so much just because they consider 25 crore people as their family? UP will not tolerate insult of saffron to please the 'special vote bank'.

Please tell that Dimple Yadav was seeking votes for SP in Sirathu. From Sirathu, SP and Apna Dal (Communist) candidate Pallavi Patel is in the fray. Pallavi Patel is the sister of BJP ally Anupriya Patel. Whereas BJP's candidate from Sirathu is the state's deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya. In the 2012 assembly elections, Keshav Maurya had won from Sirathu.
