New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry has told the National Technical Advisory Group (NTAGI) on Immunization that those who have taken the first and second doses of Russia's Sputnik-5 (Sputnik V) vaccine, will now have a third dose or booster. What are the substitutes for dosage? Let us tell you that Russian vaccine manufacturers are facing technical problems in making the second dose of Corona.

Union Health Ministry source has informed that we have asked NTAGI what to be given in booster dose to such people, who have taken the dose of Russian vaccine Sputnik-5. However, no response has come from NTAGI regarding this. On behalf of the advisory group, it has been said that the data of people who are being given AD-26 component as a booster dose, their data is being studied. Sources have said that NTAGI will also study those cases, who have taken the first and second doses of Russian vaccine Sputnik V, after which they have to face any kind of problems.

Let us tell you that the first and second doses of Sputnik V vaccine are different. Actually, dose-1 is the adeno-vector AD26, while the second dose is the adeno-vector AD-5 component. Let us tell you that Russian vaccine manufacturers are facing technical difficulties in preparing the second dose. According to government data, 12,23,199 doses of Sputnik have been given in India so far.
