Uttar Pradesh: Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, announced on Friday that he will run in the upcoming assembly elections if his party decides to do so. Adityanath is a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council. "I have always contested elections and I will contest from wherever the party says," the BJP leader told reporters here when asked if he will run in the assembly elections early next year. In response to another question, he said, "The party has a parliamentary board that decides who will contest from where."

Adityanath claimed that the BJP government has delivered on all of the promises made by the party in the run-up to the 2017 assembly elections. In terms of law and order, he claimed that the state has led by example, claiming that there have been no riots in the last four years and that all festivals, including Diwali, have been celebrated peacefully.

"Diwali was previously observed, and the Kumbh Mela was not held for the first time in the state. However, Uttar Pradesh was dealing with a public image problem, which was resolved in 2017. The advantages of various schemes have reached the very last man in society "he stated. Due to good road connectivity and a guarantee of security, the state, according to the chief minister, has now become the best destination in the country for foreign investment.
