The names of the Padma awardees have also been announced by the Central Government on the eve of the 73rd Republic Day. Honourable people who have made outstanding and significant contributions in various fields have been awarded these awards. Many players from the field of sports are also going to be honoured with it. One of these names is one that is an institution in its own right and is a veteran instructor of the current era of the country's oldest martial arts form 'Kalaripayattu.' We are talking about 93-year-old Sankaranarayanan Menon Chundayil (Unni Gurukkal) who has been awarded the Padma Shri.
