Lucknow: The World Health Organization (WHO) has praised the Yogi government's door-to-door campaign on its official website amid the spreading havoc of corona infection in India. In an article published on May 7, WHO explained how the Yogi government took necessary steps in times of epidemic and implemented them at the grass root level.

The article said the Yogi government has started house to house active case finding in view of COVID-19 in rural areas. In this process, they were isolated, which had symptoms of corona. WHO said the Yogi government has engaged 1,41,610 teams. These teams have 21,242 supervisors from the State Health Department whose job is to ensure that no rural areas are left out in the campaign. The campaign was launched in rural areas from May 5.

If the villagers underwent rapid tests and were found to be infected, they were advised with medicine kits on how they could fight corona. At the same time, all those who came in contact with positive people were tested. WHO said it is helping the Uttar Pradesh government in training and micro planning. In addition, their field officers are also staying on the ground and monitoring the situation. They are also giving real time feedback to the Government so that corrective steps can be taken immediately to ensure quality.
