New Delhi: Union Minister Smriti Irani launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Smriti Irani levelled several allegations against Rahul Gandhi, who is facing the enforcement directorate's interrogation in the National Herald case. "An atmosphere is being created that he is being harassed. But the one who is harassed doesn't roam around the Khan market? Or does he go to Italy? He doesn't even burn tires outside the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office.''

Irani attacked the Congress, saying, "What game will they play? We didn't just leave the game they played. Political is not a game.'' Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, Irani said, "If we are called by the police, will we say that I am busy today?" That's why I can't come. Will we tell our acquaintances that let's pelt stones at the agencies that interrogate me? The investigative agencies are just doing their job.

At the same time, the Union Minister also targeted Delhi Minister Satyendra Jain, who is facing allegations of money laundering. He attacked Satyendar Jain, saying, "When I did PC (press conference), he lost his memory. When I asked the question, the collar of the policeman was grabbed in South India. Tyres were blown up outside the Enforcement Directorate office in Delhi.'' Meanwhile, when asked about the steps taken by the government on women's safety, Smriti Irani said, "The Modi government has taken many strict steps for the safety of women. All the police stations across India have women's desks. They are getting funding from the government in its entirety. 90 per cent of the districts have one-stop centres. More than 700 fast-track courts operate on funds given by the central government. But the government never mentions it.''
