Wholescale foodgrain market shows some mixed trend

Saturday;June 25, 2016: The rates of urad dal, gram dal, maida and sooji enlarged although that of moong dal decreased at the wholesale foodgrains market amid the week under review.

Urad dal and gram dal was up by Rs 100 and Rs 200 on Monday from Rs 15,400 and Rs 8,000 to finish the week at the same rates.

Likewise, maida (90 kg) and Sooji (90 kg) rose by Rs 50 and Rs 200 each to Rs 2,600 and Rs 3,400 from its previous rate of Rs 2,550 and Rs 3,200, respectively, and maintained the same trend till today.

In contrast, on monday, moong dal declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 8,900 from Rs 9,000 and ruled steady till this weekend.

Values of thoor dal (Rs 13,500), sugar (Rs 3,850) and wheat (Rs 2,700) prices ruled steady throughout the week.
