Foods with high sugar and fat content, like doughnuts contribute to dental problems, weight gain, heart problems, high blood pressure. These foods also lack nutrients. Simple carbohydrates, refined sugars and trans fats are prevalent in doughnuts.

Doughnuts are fried, full of sugar and white flour, and most all varieties contain trans-fat. Store-bought doughnuts are made up of about 35 percent to 40 percent trans-fat, and an average doughnut contains about 200 to 300 calories, mostly from sugar, and few other nutrients. These are trans fats that increase your cholesterol and triglycerides which also increases your risk of heart disease. Furthermore, when foods are cooked at high temperatures, carcinogenic substances like acrylamide can form.

Dental Problems

Eating doughnuts regularly can give you dental problems. You could have a mouthful of cavities and your gums may bleed whenever you try to eat something. Avoid doughnuts as far as possible or you may not be able to save your teeth and gums.

Weight Gain

Eating doughnuts can add up around your waist. They have a high amount of sugar content. You gain a lot of weight and get tired easily. You feel lethargic. Reduce intake of doughnuts and stay in shape you’ll have plenty of energy.

Mental Health

Chemical substances contained in the donut could make the brain work with the maximum. People who eat too many donuts tend to make decisions too hastily that will eventually harm them.

Diabetes Risk

Eating too many doughnuts can give you diabetes. This is because of fat and sugar contained in the donut. People who eat a lot of donuts along with a passive lifestyle and rarely exercise would make them more susceptible to diseases such as obesity and diabetes.
