According to the scriptures, the bell must be played during any type of worship. Because the Lord's statues kept in the temple with the voice coming from the bell become chaitanya and your worship reaches to God. In addition to the temple, whenever you worship, you must ring the bell. On the other hand, when you do aarti, it is considered auspicious to play the bell continuously during that time.

The vision of science signifies that,  the sound that comes out of the bells activates our brain and the focus of the human being becomes centered on one place. Apart from this, sound from the bell is destroyed gems and to harmful micro-germs in the air. Actually, the sound that comes out from the bell, which is a lot of emphasis and due to that sound, the germs present in the atmosphere are destroyed completely, and when this happens you get a clean environment while worshiping.
