Muzaffarnagar: A large Mahapanchayat of farmers is going to be held in Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait will also attend the Mahapanchayat to be held at GIC Ground. He has left for Muzaffarnagar but says he will not even step on the land here.

Tikait is a resident of Muzaffarnagar and has not stepped here since the Kisan movement started. Tikait said, "I have been going to Muzaffarnagar for the first time since the agitation started and that too will go through the corridor. I will not even step on the land there and look at my house, I will see the people there.'' He said, "Whatever you think of it, don't return home until the law is withdrawn. Those who fought for the freedom struggle were punished with Kaala Pani and never went home. This is also a kind of black law and will not go home unless the agricultural laws are returned.''

He said, "The village, society, and the United Front have only allowed me not to return home unless the law is withheld. We cannot go to Muzaffarnagar. We will go only through the corridor and from the highway to the platform and come back from there.'' The whole city is jammed, he said. It is very crowded there. There is a public population from 10 to 12 km. He said, "You will go on a motorcycle from where the route is jammed but you must reach the stage.''
