New Delhi: The dates for assembly elections in 5 states including UP have been announced. At the same time, the Code of Conduct will also be implemented in these 5 States. Some rules are framed by the Election Commission to conduct free and fair elections, which is called the Code of Conduct. Many changes are also made as soon as the code of conduct comes into force. State governments become unarmed and election commissions become mahabalis. There are many restrictions imposed on the state governments. All work is banned.

Why does the State Government become unarmed?

1. Ban imposed on Minister-CM-MLA:-

- No minister of the government, MLA even CM can meet any officer involved in the election process.

- Government aircraft, trains are not able to be used to benefit a party or candidate. Ministers-Chief Ministers can use government cars only for government work from their official residence to their office.

- No state government minister or any political worker can use a siren car, even if it is private.

2. The government cannot even transfer an officer-employee:-

- State and Central officials act like election commission employees until the election process is over.

- In the Code of Conduct, the government is not able to transfer or post any government official or employee. Even if an officer transfer or posting is necessary, it is mandatory to seek the permission of the Commission.

3. Government money cannot be used:-

- Government money cannot be used for advertising or public relations between the code of conduct. If such ads are already running, they are deleted.

- Any new plan, construction work, inauguration or foundation stone is also banned. If a work has already started, it can continue.

- If there is any natural calamity or epidemic, the government wants to take any measures at such a time, then first the election commission's permission has to be obtained.

4. There are also many restrictions on preaching

- Can't use temple, mosque, church, gurdwara or any religious place for election e-mail.

- Political parties can use any number of trains (including two-wheelers) to campaign, but it becomes mandatory to get the approval of the returning officer first.

- Any party or candidate has to seek the approval of the police before taking out a rally or procession or holding an election meeting.

- Dj cannot be used from 10 pm to 6 am. Even if there is to be a rally, it will not take place before 6 a.m. and after 10 p.m.
