Shimla: With the announcement of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections, the BJP and Congress have intensified their election campaign. Today Congress is going to release its manifesto in the state on Saturday (November 5). At the same time, PM Narendra Modi has a program to address two public meetings. Before sounding the election bugle in Himachal, PM Modi will visit Punjab and meet Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon, head of Radha Soami Satsang Beas in Amritsar. Experts in the matter say that the meeting of PM Modi and Baba Gurinder Singh before reaching Himachal has great significance because even before the Punjab elections, PM Modi had met Dhillon. Let us tell you that Baba Gurinder has a lot of influence not only in Punjab but also in Himachal.

According to the election schedule, all 68 seats in Himachal will go to polls on November 12 and the results will be out on December 8. Today PM Modi is going to hold public meetings at two places in Himachal. But, before reaching Himachal, he will meet Radha Soami Satsang Dera chief Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon in Amritsar, Punjab. Political pundits are seeing this meeting by linking it with the elections. This is also because PM Modi had met with Dhillon even before the Punjab elections. Now, before the Himachal elections, many political meanings are being extracted from meeting PM Modi and Dhillon.

Let us tell you that Radha Soami Dera was established in the year 1891 by Baba Jaimal Ji. Radha Soami Satsang Beas is a spiritual centre in Amritsar, Punjab. This Dera has millions of followers in the country and the world. There are lakhs of followers of Radha Soami Satsang in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal also. In Himachal Pradesh alone, their number is around five lakh. Radha Soami Satsang Dera has followers in every district of Himachal, so meeting PM Modi Dhillon before the Himachal elections can be a benifitting deal for BJP.
