August 9 is a very special day for tribals. Because this day is celebrated as World Tribal Day. The decision to celebrate Tribal Day on 9 August was taken at the UN meeting on 9 August 1982. World Tribal Day was first celebrated in 1995. After this, it started being celebrated on 9 August every year.

Tribals are an integral part of Indian culture. In today's time, tribals have done the work of proving themselves. Although tribals are found everywhere in India, they have a significant population in Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur and Mizoram.

They captivate everyone with their folk songs, music and dance. This is also their quality. Their population is seen in more villages than cities. They made a vital contribution to India's progress. Tribals live in the American continent, African continent and Asia continent also.
