Narendra Modi's government, which has been dreaming of passing the Motor Vehicles Bill since 2016, has achieved success in 2019. In fact, the Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill has also been passed in the Rajya Sabha, where the government was in a minority. The bill was passed in the Lok Sabha about seven days ago, but then the biggest challenge for the Rajya Sabha government. Presenting the bill in the Lok Sabha, Nitin Gadkari had demanded the opposition leaders to pass the bill.

The Motor Vehicles Bill will now take into account the law after the president's signature. Now, if anyone is found breaking traffic rules, he or she may have to pay a fine of 10 times. Also can be up to jail in many cases. In fact, the Modi government has come out with a bill to prevent road accidents. Considering the safety, the bill is an admirable move, but it's the biggest threat bell for traffic breakers.

Fines to be imposed on these mistakes

Section (177)- The general challan simple challan was previously charged a fine of Rs 100 which would be increased to 500.

Section 177(A) - Breaking the rules of the road: The first was a fine of Rs 100 which would be increased to 500.

Section 178 – Travel without ticket: The first penalty of Rs 200 would be increased to 500.

Section (179) – Non-complying with the orders of the Authority: Earlier, a fine of Rs 500 would be increased to 2000.

Section (180) – Driving an unauthorized vehicle without a licence: Earlier a fine of Rs. 1000 would be increased to 5000.

Section (181) – Unlicensed driving: Previously a fine of Rs 500 would be increased to 5000.

Section (182) – Driving without qualification: The first penalty of Rs 500 would be increased to 10,000.

Section (182B) – Driving oversized vehicles: This is the new rule, which is included in this bill. You will have to pay a fine of Rs 5,000.

Section (183)- On crossing the speed limit: The first penalty was Rs. 400 which would go up to Rs. 2000.

Section (184)- Dangerous Driving Penalty: The first penalty was Rs. 1000 which would go up to Rs 5,000.

Section 185) – Drink and drive: The first penalty of Rs. 2000 will be increased to Rs. 10,000.
