On Wednesday; a report has been submitted to the government by Justice AP Shah panel concluded that, “the exploration of KG-D6 block by Reliance Industries (RIL) had led to relocation of gas from the contiguous KGDWN-98/2 block operated by ONGC, which led to a loss to the exchequer”

Justice Shah in his current interview involved ahead the findings on the panel report, “explaining why ONGC should not have claim on any restitution for the unjust benefit RIL received, why he did not quantify a penalty amount and outlined steps that would prevent such conflicts in the future”

Further the Shah panel has accepted that, the result of a rep[ort by consultant MacNoughton and DeGolyerappointed by RIL and ONGC, which completed that gas had migrated from the ONGC field to the RIL block.
