Chandigarh: The Manohar Lal Khattar government of Haryana has given Z plus security to Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Police has increased the security of Ram Rahim, stating the threat of life from Khalistani terrorists. The Haryana government has made the report of the ADGP (CID) the basis of security. The government has said that Khalistani supporters can harm Gurmeet, so they are being given tight security.

Please tell that Ram Rahim is currently out of jail on furlough for 21 days. The opposition had targeted the Haryana government, raising questions on the furloughs received before the polling in Punjab. The reason for this decision was being told to the followers of the dera. However, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar had said that the relief given to Ram Rahim has nothing to do with the Punjab elections. It has also come to the fore from the records presented in the High Court that Ram Rahim is under threat from pro-Khalistan elements. Due to this, the state government has given him Z plus category security after his release from jail on furlough.

At the same time, scrutiny of records has revealed that the process of releasing Ram Rahim was initiated after taking legal advice from the Advocate General (AG). Last year too, Gurmeet was granted emergency parole from morning till evening to visit his ailing mother. He had also come out of jail on a few occasions citing health reasons. Ram Rahim was till now imprisoned in Sunaria Jail in Rohtak district of Haryana.
