The birth anniversary of Lord Krishna is celebrated as Janmashtami in the country and abroad. Shri Krishna is the main deity of Hinduism. There are many such secrets about Shri Krishna, with which this world is very less familiar. One such secret is to put the peacock feather of Shri Krishna on his head like a crown. Let us tell you why Shri Krishna put the peacock feather on his head. Scholars have presented different types of arguments about this.
- The prevailing statement behind Shri Krishna wearing the crown of the peacock feather is that the peacock is the only bird that adopts celibacy throughout life. The female peacock conceives after drinking peacock tears. In this way, Shri Krishna decorates the feather of such a sacred bird on his forehead.
There were many peacocks in the palace of Mata Radha and when Shri Krishna used to play the flute, along with Mata Radha, her peacocks also came in dance posture and they used to perform beautiful acts. It is said that once during a dance, a peacock feather spread on the ground. God picked him up and took the punishment on his head.
- Shri Krishna does not compare between his friend and his enemy. You will understand in this way that Shri Krishna's brother Balaram was and he was the incarnation of Sheshnag. Both snake and peacock are enemies. Therefore, Shri Krishna adorns the feather of peacock on his head and tells us that he does not distinguish between enemy and friend.
There is also a statement that, like all colors of peacock feathers, Shri Krishna tells us that like peacock feathers, there are many colors in our life too. Everyone gets to see ups and downs in life.
