You know that the Chhath Mahaparava has started from 31 October. In this case, today is November 2, that is, today is the third day of Chhath festival. In such a situation, after bathing, Chhath Vrati takes a vow of fast and these days Chhath Vrati Prasad is taken only after offering Goddes Chhath. Women observe food on this day and give Arghya to sun.

Let us tell you that Chhath Vrati in Mahaparva Chhath descends into water for purity and today we are going to give you the reason for that. It is believed that Sun is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and Lord Vishnu resides in water in the month of Kartik. At the same time it is believed that Lord Vishnu and Surya are worshiped by offering Ardhya by entering the river and the pond and another belief is that "Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati take away all sins and sufferings." Therefore, it is a tradition to enter the water and give Argyhya.

On the day of Chhath Mahaparva, Chhath Vrati is entered both in the evening and in the morning by entering Ardhya water and it is written in the Puranas that "Goddess Shashthi is the  sister of Surya Dev." In order to please the Sun God, his sister is worshiped as a worship of Shakti. "There is another reason that" the sixth part of nature has produced Shashthi Mata. Shashti Mata is also called Maya, created by Lord Vishnu to protect children. Therefore, women do Chhath Mahaparva for the happiness of children.
