Khargone: In Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, political turmoil intensified after bulldozers ransacked the homes of Muslims who spread communal tension on Ram Navami. All the opposition parties are targeting the ruling Shivraj Singh Chouhan government of the state. State Home Minister Narottam Mishra has responded to the politicians who put a question mark on the violence first on Ram Navami and then on the action taken through bulldozers.

In one of his interviews, Narottam Mishra said, 'Why violence is done only during our festivals?' Narottam Mishra said, 'Ram Navami comes once in a year, but on this day there are riots at 12 places across the country. There is a ruckus in JNU over eating non-vegetarian on Ramnavmi. Why does all this happen only during our festivals? Narottam Mishra said that why all this does not happen during the festivals of Muslims. Although he did not directly use the word Muslim.

Do political parties want to show their strength through the Ram Navami procession? Responding to this question, Mishra said, 'There is nothing like this. Have you seen flags of Bharatiya Janata Party or Congress Party in Ram Navami processions which you thought were political rallies?' When asked whether he was feeling remorse after running a bulldozer at the houses of the alleged rioters in the state? To this Narottam Mishra said, 'Whoever commits a crime will be punished.' Narottam Mishra was asked under which legal process the administration bulldozers demolished about 45 houses and shops of the perpetrators of violence. In response to this, Mishra said, the police had bulldozed the houses of the same rioters. Those who were seen throwing stones at the camera. We are not taking action on the basis of allegations only. All due process is being followed and they are also being sent to jail. Let us tell you that there was an incident of stone pelting on the Ram Navami procession in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh when the procession was passing through a Muslim dominated area. The people involved in the procession allege that some minority youth suddenly started pelting stones without any reason. Dozens of persons including the superintendent of police were injured in this incident.
