Lucknow: In a major verdict during the hearing in the controversial Gyanvapi case in Varanasi, the Varanasi court has removed court commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra from his post. They have been accused of leaking information during the survey. It has also been said that a private cameraman was hired on his behalf who was giving information to the media. His behaviour has been termed irresponsible.

The court has also made it clear in its judgement that Ajay Pratap Singh and Vishal Singh will continue in their posts, only Ajay Kumar has been decided to be removed. Now Ajay Pratap and Vishal Singh are going to do the job of filing the survey report in court. It is necessary to know here that there was a constant allegation from the Muslim side that court commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra was being biased. There had been demands for action against him earlier also. Now the Varanasi court has given this verdict against him.

Apart from this, the court has also extended the period of submission of the survey report. It was demanded that two more days' time was required, now the court has given its consent. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), the premier body of Muslims in India, has termed the closure of the Vajukhana of the mosque on the orders of the court after the alleged Shivalinga was found at the Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi as unjust, saying that the whole incident is nothing more than a conspiracy to create a communal frenzy.
