Rampur: Voting was held in Uttar Pradesh on Monday (December 5) for the three-seat Rampur and Khatauli assembly and by-elections to the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat. The lowest voter turnout of 33.94 percent was recorded in Rampur in this by-election. Many discussions started as soon as the polling is over, but if we look at the ground reality, enthusiasm, gaiety, and enthusiasm, everything was missing in the by-election of the Rampur assembly. Barring a few centers, neither long queues nor crowds of voters were seen anywhere. People kept voting without queuing up.

In fact, after the assembly elections, the by-elections to the Lok Sabha were held about six months ago. The assembly by-election was held on Monday after the city seat was vacant. There was neither enthusiasm nor spirit nor morale among the voters regarding the by-election. Because the vote is their right. So the voters exercised their franchise. Most of the polling stations did not see long queues of voters, nor did they see crowds like in general elections. People kept coming one by one to cast their votes.

On the other hand, initially, only polling personnel and policemen were seen at the polling station in Nayagaon. After the sun rose, people started reaching the polling booth. There was a shortage of voters till afternoon at all the centers of Kakraua. There was definitely a gathering of supporters of the candidates at the polling booth of the city's Murtaza Inter College, Sugarcane Committee office. There was silence at the beginning at the Government Baker Inter College polling station as well. Later people started reaching the polling booth. Not only this, the crowd of voters was not visible at the polling stations of Muslim-majority areas leading in the voting.
