Bengaluru: The escalating violence against Hindus in neighboring Bangladesh has sparked widespread protests across Karnataka, with citizens voicing their outrage over the brutal attacks on the minority community. The unrest in Bangladesh has intensified following the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, leading to political anarchy and targeted violence against Hindus, their properties, and temples.

In Bengaluru, multiple protests were held to condemn the violence, with citizens and Hindu organizations demanding immediate action to protect the Hindu minority in Bangladesh. The Hindu Vigilante Organization, along with some RSS leaders, staged a protest in Nelamangala, urging the Indian central government to intervene and assist the beleaguered Hindu community in Bangladesh.

Protesters expressed their solidarity with the Hindus in Bangladesh, calling for an end to the violence. Social media was flooded with messages of support, with many sharing the hashtag #HindusUnderAttackInBangladesh. One notable tweet from Rajesh Padmar highlighted the brutality of the attacks and the need for urgent action.

The situation in Bangladesh has reportedly worsened, with widespread looting, rioting, and targeted attacks on minority communities, primarily Hindus. The rioters, showing blatant disregard for international norms, have stated they are unconcerned about the United Nations’ stance on racial violence.

In response to the ongoing violence, protests were also held in Mangalore. Dr. M.B. Puranik, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Karnataka Provincial Working President, strongly condemned the attacks and called for protective measures for the Hindu minority in Bangladesh. He warned that the situation could lead to further unrest, with the possibility of infiltrators crossing into India via the shared border with Bangladesh.

Dr. Puranik pointed out the alarming decline in the Hindu population in Bangladesh, from 32% to just 8%, and the destruction of more than 100 temples in recent attacks. He emphasized that Hindu families in Bangladesh are living in a state of constant insecurity due to the rise in jihadi violence. “The Vishwa Hindu Parishad will not sit idly by,” he declared, urging the central government to take decisive action to ensure the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh and prevent potential cross-border infiltrations into India.

The protests in Karnataka underscore the deep concern among Indian citizens over the situation in Bangladesh, with many calling for stronger diplomatic and humanitarian efforts to protect the vulnerable Hindu minority in the neighboring country. As the violence continues, the demand for a more proactive response from the Indian government is growing, with citizens and organizations alike insisting that immediate steps be taken to address the crisis and prevent further bloodshed.
