New Delhi: Former Team India cricketer and Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar's childhood friend Vinod Kambli has once again been embroiled in controversy. Actually, Vinod Kambli's wife Andrea Hewitt has accused him of assaulting her under the influence of alcohol. Vinod Kambli's wife has filed a complaint at Bandra police station in Mumbai. Kambli's wife alleged that Vinod Kambli, in an inebriated state, threw a cooking panhandle at her, causing a head injury.
According to the report, the incident took place between 1 pm and 1.30 pm on Friday (February 3) when Kambli reached his Bandra flat under the influence of alcohol and started abusing his wife. After this, Kambli ran to the kitchen and took the handle of the cooking pan, and threw it on his wife. Vinod Kambli's wife got herself treated at Bhabha Hospital before the police arrived, a Bandra police official said.
