In an attempt to avenge his wife's infidelity, a man laid a trap and killed three people. The incident took place at Maheshtala in West Bengal on Wednesday 17th July. The locals caught the accused and then handed him over to the police. The injured were shifted to Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital in critical condition. The accused was admitted to Vidyasagar Government General Hospital, Kolkata.

The accused's wife had gone with her boyfriend about two weeks ago. An angry accused went to the house of a man who was a relative of his wife's boyfriend and laid an electric wire outside the building. The accused also burned clothes drying out. When the victim's family tried to extinguish the fire, three of them stepped on the wire causing them to turn around. Six members of the family were badly injured in the incident.

Agitated by the incident, locals started searching for the accused and apprehended him near The Akarra railway station. After beating him, they informed the police and handed him over to the police.
