A shocking incident comes to light from Assam’s Cachar district where a woman brutally stabbed her husband to death with a pair of scissors after their heated argument. The incident took place in the Meherpur area of Silchar town early in the morning  This is the third incident of a murder where a woman killed her husband in the last three days in Northeastern area.

According to Superintendent of Police Numal Mahatta. The couple allegedly hit each other after their heated argument over some issue result in death of one of them. The accused allegedly stabbed her husband with a pair of scissors during their fight and left him in a pool of blood. The deceased has been identified as Farmin Uddin, an autorickshaw driver. A relative rushed to the hospital with the injured man but he does not able to save him.The accused has been identified as Mampi Begum. She surrendered herself before the police at Rangirkhari Police Station after committing the crime.

These types of incidents are increasing day by day. Earlier in a similar incident, a woman in Assam killed her husband and mother-in-law, chopped their bodies into multiple pieces, put them in polythene bags and threw them from hills in neighboring Meghalaya. As per the information, the accused Vandana Kalita, had an extramarital affair and her lover was also involved in the brutal murder. Meanwhile, in another incident, a woman and her lover allegedly strangled her husband to death in Kacharital village in Kalaigaon area in Udalguri district.
