ED to probe endangered pangolin smuggling, illegal assets

Indore: There have been several cases of smuggling of Pangolin these days. In fact, the wildlife Pangolin, which is found in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh, apart from Indore, is being smuggled day by day. While people are earning crores of rupees by smuggling them, it is going to be difficult to escape these smugglers now. Yes, it is going to clamp down on them now. According to reports, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also preparing to help in checking their property.

It is reported that the State Tiger Strike Force (STSF) has shared with the officers of ED information about smuggling of Pangolin and turtles. In fact, the STSF has arrested more than 160 people in the last five years by registering 14 cases of Pangolin smuggling. Not only that, but a woman from Myanmar has also been apprehended in the smuggling of pengolin. Officials say the demand for Pangolin is the highest in China. So far, Pangolin has been found in the jungles of Indore and Dhar. Forest officials say that these are found in Balaghat, Seoni, Chhindwara, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Sagar in Madhya Pradesh.

In China, other organs, including Pangolin blood, bones, skins, are used for disease drugs like cancer and impotence. The international gang is also said to be active, with the help of local people, who send the Pangolin across the border. ED has agreed to investigate two cases of Pangolin out of 14 cases. According to reports, smugglers buying Pangolin and selling rs 60 to 70 lakh in the international market.
