New Delhi: The Election Commission can remove the ban on election rallies and public meetings before the assembly elections to be held in 5 states of the country today. According to the information, the Health Ministry has told the Election Commission that the cases of corona are now decreasing across the country.

Explain that due to the Corona crisis, the Election Commission had banned public meetings and rallies till 31 January. The Election Commission has banned road shows, pad-yatras, cycle/bike/vehicle rallies and processions. Earlier this ban was till January 15, then it was extended till January 22 and then the ban was pulled till January 31. In India, 2,09,918 new cases of corona have been registered in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 959 people have died from Corona.

Let us tell you that voting has started from February 10. The five states where elections are to be held are Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. Voting will take place in total in seven phases in UP. Whereas in Manipur, polling will be held in two phases. Apart from this, votes will be held in a single phase in Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa. Then the results of the elections of the five states will come on March 10.
