New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has now come into action in view of the growing cases of COVID-19 infection in India's capital Delhi. The Home Minister has called an important meeting at 5 pm on Sunday in which he will take stock of the situation in the capital. This meeting to be held in North Block will also include Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan.

In the meeting, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal may repeat the demand of increasing the number of beds in central government hospitals made by the Home Minister before his government. Along with this, CM Kejriwal can also seek help from the State Governments and the Central Government to curb the increased air pollution during the festival season in Delhi.

According to the data released on Saturday, 7340 new cases of COVID-19 infection have occurred in Delhi. The number of active cases has now increased to 44,456 with fresh cases. 96 people have died due to COVID-19 infection on Saturday. So far 7519 people have died in Delhi from COVID-19. The total corona cases in Delhi have now increased to 4,82,170. 4,30,195 patients have been discharged. In Delhi these days, along with COVID-19, air pollution is also being killed.
