In 2019, the Congress party, which is going against Modi, is finding it difficult to handle the 2018 elections. In West Bengal, more than 10 legislators of Trinamool Congress (TMC) have the support of the Congress. Congress President Rahul Gandhi is trying to stop this heavy break in Bengal. On Friday, Rahul Gandhi has convened a meeting of leaders of West Bengal.

In the meeting, in-charge Gaurav Gogoi, all MPs, MLAs, State President Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary and senior leaders have been called. If sources are to be believed, then Rahul Gandhi will talk with all the leaders in this meeting. At the same time, it will be interesting to see in the meeting whether Rahul Gandhi can stop MLAs from leaving the party or not. A section of the party in the state also recognizes that the Congress has to realize its significance in West Bengal, assuming the successful use of the coalition in 2019.

The TMC is continuously trying to intimidate the Congress legislators and try their luck on Dhanbal. The recent panchayat elections are also telling the story of the Congress being weak in West Bengal. In the past, there has been a long wider list of strong leaders of Congress from West Bengal. These include Siddhartha Shankar Ray, Pranab Mukherjee, Priyaranjan Dasmunshi. Before making her party, Mamata Banerjee also made her the identity of the voice of the young youth.
