Mumbai: Maharashtra's independent MLA Ravi Rana on Wednesday said he will come to Mumbai on April 23 and recite the Hanuman Chalisa outside the residence of Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray. The MLA from Badnera in Vidarbha region told the media that they want the CM to recite Hanuman Chalisa or else he will recite it loudly outside his residence along with his supporters.
The MLA said, "I will come to Mumbai on Saturday and will recite Hanuman Chalisa outside CM Uddhav Thackeray's residence. I want him to recite it, otherwise, I will recite it aloud with my supporters." Thackeray's residence 'Matoshree' is located here in the western suburb of Bandra. Last week, Rana had asked Thackeray to recite Hanuman Chalisa at his residence on the occasion of Hanuman's birth anniversary, which was strongly criticized by the Shiv Sena who accused him of inciting communal disharmony in the state.
The same former Mumbai mayor and Shiv Sena leader Kishori Pednekar had hit back at Rana for targeting the CM. Rana's wife Navneet Rana is an independent MP. Both are known to support the BJP informally.
