Shahid Kapoor the 'Udta Punjab' actor is very busy these days. After stealing hearts with his role of Kabir Singh in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Kabir Singh in 2019, the beautiful hunk has been ready for the release of his much-anticipated sports drama Jersey. That's not everything. With Raj & DK's directorial debut, the Batti Gul Meter Chalu actor is also ready to make his OTT debut. And, having recently completed filming on the project, Shahid is currently preparing for his next movie, which is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
It's important to note that this will be Shahid's first collaboration with Ali, and it's said to be a remake of the 2011 French film Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Night). According to a source in Mid Day, the film will be released soon and would star Shahid in the character of a detective tracking down drug traffickers. While the film is still under pre-production, it is expected that the shoot would begin with a complex action sequence. "Shahid will start reading and preparing for his role next week, before reporting to the set. Meanwhile, Ali is laying the foundation. "The first schedule will be quick and will be shot in suburban Mumbai, notably Goregaon," a source said.
Nuit Blanche was previously remade in Tamil and Telugu as Thoongaa Vanam and Cheekati Rajyam, respectively, for the uninitiated. Shahid is now awaiting the December 31 release of Gowtam Tinnanuri's Jersey, which also stars Pankaj Kapur and Mrunal Thakur and will be released in theatres.
