It's not part of my job to make jokes about my expenses, but the joke about Jada's medical condition was beyond my tolerance and I reacted emotionally. I want to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I crossed the line, I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in the world of love and kindness.
Will continued his talk and wrote, 'I would also like to apologize to the Academy, the producers of the show, all the attendees and everyone watching around the world. I want to apologize to the Williams family and my King Richard family. I deeply regret that my behavior has left a stain on this beautiful journey. I am working on it and will do so.
