It may be noted that RSS in his tweet addressed Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar. in a tweet, RSS wrote, "A coordination meeting of key functionaries of various organizations working in various fields of social life related to RSS is being held next month from 5th to 7th January, 2022 at Bhagyanagar (Hyderabad), Telangana. Tell me, there is no demand today to change the name of Hyderabad to Bhagyanagar. There have been many demands in the past. While campaigning during the municipal corporation elections in Hyderabad in 2020, CM Yogi Adityanath had also raised the issue of naming Hyderabad Bhagyanagar.

I told him that after forming the government in Uttar Pradesh, when we named Faizabad Ayodhya and Allahabad as Prayagraj, why can't Hyderabad be renamed as Bhagyanagar?'
