New Delhi: Discussions are on over the booster dose of corona vaccine in the eastern world. The question arises in India as to whether people in our country will be given booster doses of vaccine. People concerned with the matter have said that India's priority right now is to complete the vaccination of its adult population and start vaccination of children between the ages of 12 and 18. He said that we may need a booster dose, but we are not paying attention to it now.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a senior government official said, "After all, we may need booster doses, and there have been some discussions on it, but at present, the focus is on the immunization of all adults and the process of involving children in the programme. Now, the Zayedus Cadila vaccine has been approved. At present, a lot of thought is being given as to how to introduce it in the (Zydus vaccine) system.''

ZyCoV-D, Zydus vaccine is expected to be introduced as part of the vaccination programme soon, though the announcement of vaccination to children is also awaited. As of Wednesday night, India has fully vaccinated 23.6 crore people, another 40.9 crore people have received a dose of the vaccine.
